Current Projects

		Paintings come from objects seen and recorded, or from thoughts and ideas which I paint in order to see in reality.  The words 'what if' are often going round in my head while I paint.
I like the idea of the content of a painting being as if unknown and start in such a way that the first marks are random and tangled.   The painting emerges from shapes and colours which would have been unlikely to appear from a rigid plan.
		Things hidden, not quite revealed, layered, covered.  Things of beauty which do not give up all of their secrets.  These are elements which most appeal to me.
